154   TC 5.2.11 conflicts with TC 6.3.10 and 6.3.29 and makes TC 6.2.16 and 6.2.24 not necessary

Issue

TC 5.2.11 "Maximum certificate size" requires that "All conformance tests listed in Clause 6 shall be performed for the maximum mandatory value supported in this parameter."

TC 6.2.16 and TC 6.2.24 require that "The DUT accept remote certificates having size limited to the maximum certificate size supported."
Since TC 5.2.11 already requires that all the test cases are performed using certificates of a size equal to the maximum declared in the PIXIT, the verifications required by TC 6.2.16 and TC 6.2.24 are already covered by other test cases where the TLS session can be established or renegotiated. TC 6.2.16 and TC 6.2.24 are, hence, not necessary.

In addition, TC 6.3.10 and TC 6.3.29 require using a certificate of a size greater than the required maximum size to be supported. Hence, the sentence in TC 5.2.11 could be modified.

Proposal

Remove TC 6.2.16 and TC 6.2.24.
Table 4 should also be modified after removal of TC 6.2.16 and 6.2.24.

The text in TC 5.2.11 should be changed with "All conformance tests listed in Clause 6.2 shall be performed for the maximum mandatory value supported in this parameter".
