Clause: 8.2.1

Paragraph: 2

Issue

The text provides the indication that:
“Reserved1 field shall be used to include the number of octets conveyed by the extension octets. This value shall be contained in the first octet of the Reserved1 field.”

Nevertheless, on figure 5 the "Security Extension Length" (sub)field extends over the second octet of the Reserved1 field.
Figure 5 also includes a typo for the text " Security Extension Length" in the first octet only (it is reported as "Security Exntension Length")

Proposal

Revise the text as:

Reserved1 field shall be used to represent the number of octets conveyed by the extension octets. This value shall be encoded starting from the first octet of the Reserved1 field, as indicated in Figure 5.

Revise type in figure 5.

Discussion Created Status
I agree with the proposal.
Since the Security Extension Length start in the first octet and also in the second octet it should be explained how to interpret the complete field.
